Insurance
Please ensure you bring your own emergency travel insurance policy from you home country. we request you to provide a copy of your policy before your trip starts. policies must cover for potential helicopter evection the eventuality of a serious illness loss of baggage, Accidental injury, inability to walk at high altitude etc, insurance should also cover for possible evacuation incase of getting stranded in any remote areas due to un expected bad weather conditions.
Season
Ecological diversities prove that Nepal is ‘All SEASONS COUNTRY ” for tourism. It is possible to travel at any time throughout the year. The main season to trek in Nepal is during spring season (March to May ) and autumn season (September to mid-December ). During this season, days are warm and skies are clear, making this season favorable for trekking. Even during the monsoon season (June, July and August) trekking is possible in the rain -shadow areas north of the Himalaya like Mustang, Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, Rara lake and Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar lake tour are best in this season and other region of Tibet as well.
Reservation and cancellation
One can book the trekking by mail or call us directly at Good Day Nepal Escursion in Kathmandu, Nepal or through any local travel agent in your home country. In order to confirm the booking, 25% deposit of the total trekking cost is required at least eight weeks in advance and rest of the amount upon arrival in Kathmandu before starting trek. No refund will be made if cancellation is made within a month and also, if you decide to leave the trek after starting.
Trekking Grades:
Trek Grade1-Easy
Experience is not necessary for taking part at this grade: anyone who is in good health and fit enough to walk for 4-6 hours a day can manage easy treks. These treks always involve some effort: trails are seldom flat and you must still expect to have a reasonable amount of ascend and descent .Elevation is around 3000m.
Trek Grade2- moderate
most of the people who want to enjoy vacation in the Himalayas are capable of undertaking a trek at this Grade : you need to be in good health and fit . you are likely to walk for 4-6 hours each day two or more days over steep hills and usually rough trails. Altitude is above 3100m.
Trek Grade 3 : strenuous
for any trek at this Grade fitness is most important and you have to improve your fitness before starting this grade. You must be confident about your physical as well as mental conditions. Altitude, climate and remote wild environment plays an important part in this grade. you will walk for 5 and 7 hours. Elevation is around 4100m
Trek Grade 4-Though
for this grade, we recommend prior experience of trekking. you need to take part at altitude and be confident in your physical condition and your ability to trek for many days without a break and be able to cope with different weather conditions and difficult paths. Extremes of altitude and weather may also encounter and on some trekking, it may be necessary to use ice axe, rope and crampons. you may walk from 5 to 9 hours and elevation of over 5000m.
Trek Grade 5- very Tough
this grade is very difficult and tricky like river crossing, very high or difficult passes, glaciers or trekking peaks where basic climbing skills may be required. often some special equipments such as ice axe, rope and crampons will be needed. You might face difficult weather conditions and climbing experiences. You will walk for 7 to 9 hours a day. Altitudes of over 6000m.
