Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill is one of the best places for trekking in Nepal which is located in Annapurna region. It will be short, easier as well as exciting trek. It is a rare mixture of clear lakes, long arrays of snowcapped mountains, the homeland of brave Gorkhelis, Buddhist monasteries, turbulent rivers with deep gorges and other many friendly ethnic groups as well as beautiful villages.

Ghorepani Poon Hill trek begins from Naya Pool nearby Pokhara. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Dhaulagiri range and Annapurna Himalaya. The trek with go through green and gorgeous valleys and meadows, also an eye-catching dense green forest of rhododendron and oak including the magnificent glimpse of high mountains. The most part of Ghorepani is densely consumed with beautiful rhododendron whose beauty is multiplied when they bloom during spring. Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu.
Our trip will begin from beautiful city Kathmandu. You will be warmly welcomed and greeted by our friendly staffs at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our staffs of Good Day Nepal Excursion will take you to the lovely guest house after clearing immigration and customs. And then the evening is all yours with dinner and enjoyment.

Day 2: Kathmandu Trek Preparation.
After spending beautiful whether of the night at Kathmandu we will prepare for the Kathmandu trek. Enjoying ancient cities and UNESCO world heritage sites will fascinate you. Swyambhunath temple also called monkey temple which is located in the heart of the city will surely catch your attention.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
After having breakfast you will come to Pokhara by bus enjoying the amazing scenery of the countryside. After reaching Pokhara you will be staying at a hotel with full comfortable. And then the evening is all yours. You can go boating and enjoy the cool and romantic whether of lakeside.

Day 4: Pokhara via Nayapul to Tikhedhunga.
It takes an hour and20 minutes’ drive by private vehicle from Pokhara to Nayapul. Then the trek to Tikhedhunga is 5 hours (1510m). Then Stay overnight at lodge. Then your trek starts about 20 minutes to Birethati, a magnificent town beside the Modi River. Again after heading your Trek to hills, then trek to tikhedhunga. This day you will be hiking about 3-4hrs.

Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani.
Early morning we start to ascend Ghorepani leaving Tikhedhunga with stone peeped step to Ulleri. You can view Annapurna Himal from there. Ulleri is a Magar village at 2070m. Then our trek starts fine forest of oak and beautiful rhododendron you will reach Nangethani with few ups and downs to the Ghorepani. There you can have short rest.

Day 6: Ghorepani to Tadapani.
Before the sunrise, you will be wake up by our friendly guide this morning to take you to marvelous place Poon Hill where you can enjoy a panoramic view of beautiful sunrise and mountains. After having breakfast your trek starts to Tadapani which takes 6 hours from Poon Hill. The walk passes through rhododendron Pine and Bamboo to Deurali. Then you descend to reach Banthanti, before turning to Tadapani.

Day 7: Tadapani to Ghandruk.
This day, you will trek through green forests with Mountain View. You then reach you to the village of Ghandruk around mid-day so you can visit Gurung village and Gurung museum. Here you can take as much time to explore the village. Then you will stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Ghandruk to Pokhara.
After having a great time in Ghandruk Village today you will be descending Pokhara. We will begin our journey from Ghandruk offering easy walk all downhill to Nayapool. Walking distance about 5 hours to Nayapool from where you are going to finish your trek and drive back to Pokhara.

Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Well, after a wonderful time in the white snow covered the Himalayas and short rest in Pokhara, you then have a scenic ride by bus to Kathmandu. Upon our arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will meet our office representative with your name card and then transfer to the hotel, relax and rest this afternoon.

Day 10: Final Departure.
And here comes to the end today. The cooperative and friendly staffs of Good Day Nepal Excursion will drop us to the Tribhuvan International Airport 3hours before the scheduled flight. Now, we have lots of memory of Annapurna Sanctuary trek which will surely compel us to come next time.
