Everest Panorama Lodge Trek is one of the popular treks in the Everest region.  During this 12-day trek, you will witness the beautiful mountains, places, and people.  Our trek starts after we fly to Lukla.  We enter Solu Khumbu region.  Trekking route continues through Sagarmatha National Park where we can see different wild animals and birds like musk deer, snow leopard, pheasant, and different species of birds, rhododendron, and other lush green vegetation.  Throughout the entire trek, we can enjoy the natural beauty.

One must be very careful while trekking in this region as one can suffer high altitude sickness and chances of misleading the way, so we must take precaution while trekking.  Also, you have to take you steps carefully to avoid misstepping and injuring yourself.  An experienced guide will help us with that.  Acclimatization is a must for every trekker.

During this entire trip, we will trek to different places like Lukla, Namche Bazar, Phakding, Tengboche, Khumjung, Thame, and Mojno.  All of the places have different scenic beauty to offer to the trekkers.  There will be very few tea houses on the way to these places.  While trekking, you can visit local monasteries and beautiful village where you can interact with the local people there and know about the culture and lifestyle of the local people.  We can even take part in the rituals and festivals.  This will be your once in the lifetime experience.  You can trek in this region with your friends and families to enjoy the beauty of nature and take a short break from your daily hectic schedule.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Trek preparation.
After finishing breakfast, we start our day with sightseeing some local historical and cultural attractions near Kathmandu including Durbar Square and temples like Pashupatinath, Buddha, and Swyambhu (monkey temple) with a tour guide.  After that, we will meet our trekking guide, team leader, and other members for pre-trip discussion and prepare for the Everest trek where you can ask any questions regarding this trek.  Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Day 03:  Kathmandu – Lukla to Phakding (2610 m).
After breakfast, we will go to Tribhuvan International Airport’s domestic terminal for flight to Lukla (2800 m), the gateway from where our trek officially starts.  During the 40-minute flight, you will see the magnificent view of Himalayas.  After landing, we meet our crew there and make arrangements to trek further to reach Phakding.  At the end of Lukla village, there is Pasang Lhamu Memorial Gate.  We have to cross this memorial to reach Chuplung village and other Sherpa villages.  The trail continues to reach Thado Koshi from where you can see KusumKhangaru mountain.  There are few tea houses and lodges to take rest and for refreshment.  There are many chortens and colorful prayer flags and prayer wheels on the way to Phakding.  This village is situated on the bank of Dudh Koshi river.  From this village, you can see Kongde mountain.  We will spend our leisure time by doing a short hike to nearby monasteries and local villages.  Overnight in this village includes meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 04:  Phakding – Namche Bazar (3440 m).
We start our trek today along the bank of Dudh Koshi River and crossing this river through many suspension bridges.  We will walk through jungles of pine and different other vegetations.  While trekking, we will see different breathtaking views of different Himalayan ranges.  You will also see waterfall while trekking on the way to Namche.  We will pass through Sagarmatha National Park and enter our name.  After few minutes of walk from here, we reach Jorsalle river side which is a good place to eat lunch.  After finishing our lunch, we further continue our trek and after few minutes after crossing the suspension bridge, we will reach Larja Dobhan where Bhote Koshi river and Dudh Koshi river meet.  And walking for about 3 hours, we will reach Namche Bazar, which is the gateway to Mt. Everest and main hub for business in this region.  This Bazar is one of the biggest Sherpa villages where there are many hotels, lodges, and stores which sells souvenirs and trekking gears.  For entertainment, there are cyber cafes which provide 24-hours internet service.  Local cafes also show documentaries regarding the early expeditions and trekking.  You can enjoy the documentary with the cup of tea, coffee, and bakery items.  Also, there are banks and ATMs.  Overnight at Namche Bazar includes meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 05:  Namche Bazar rest day (acclimatization).
Today is the rest day for acclimatization.  Today, we will stay around Namche Bazar and do short hike Syangboche village.  There is Syanboche Airport in this village.  After hiking for few minutes we reach to Everest View Hotel from where we can see the beautiful view of different Himalayan ranges like Thamserku (6,608m), Kusum Kanguru ( 6367 m), ( Nuptse (7,861m), Lhotse (8,414m), Ama Dablam (6,856m) and even Mt. Everest (8,850m).  We can also see Khumjung village.  There is a school made by Tenzing and Hillary in this village.  In the center of the school, there is a statue of Sir Edmund Hillary.  There is a sacred mountain Khumbila, where Guru Rimpoche meditated and it is considered to be one of the religious and sacred mountains by the local people.  The main purpose of this short hike is to adjust our body to altitude to ascend further.  This hike will surely help us to acclimatize.

This bazaar is the main business market where there are government offices, bakeries, restaurants, cafes, shops, ATM’s, etc.  We can go to Tourist Visitor Center near Sagarmatha National Park, where there are things related to the first Everest ascenders, local Sherpa cultures, and different flora and faunas found in this region.  There is a special market on Saturdays where people from surrounding villages gather in this bazaar to buy or sell their local household products like grains and other daily use products.  Overnight at Namche Bazar includes meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 6:  Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3860 m):
It will take about 6 to 7 hours to reach Tengboche today.  Today’s trek will be little difficult as the trail gradually ascends to reach our today’s destination.  Our trek is accompanied by beautiful views of mountains.  There are few places where you can take a tea break before reaching Tengboche.  Walking through dry, rocky trail and crossing the suspension bridge, we reach finally Tengboche.  There is an old monastery here in Tengboche, which is decorated with colorful prayer flags as well as prayer wheels and prayer stones.  Overnight stay at Tengboche includes meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 7:  Tengboche to Khumjung (3870 m):
Today, we will walk through jungles of rhododendron and other floras and faunas.  Today’s trail is mostly uphill and slight downhill, so it will be a trek.  Taking rest and break in the route to catch a breath and enjoy the beauty of nature, we reach Khumjung in about 5-6 hours of walking.  We can either spend r a maining day resting or we can go visit the Hillary Hospital in Khunde, just about 30 minutes of walk or we can roam around for little sightseeing here in Khumjung.  Overnight stay at lodge includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 8:  Khumjung to Thame (3,570 m):
Today’s walk will be for about 5 to 6 hours.  One might feel uneasy while trekking up due to low altitude and weather condition.  En route, we will see Khumbila and Ama Dablam mountains in our front.  We will take short lunch break in Thamu Village and do some sightseeing there.  There are old monasteries in this village.  We continue walking through rhododendron forests and rocky trails to reach Bhote Koshi river and then few hours of walking, we reach Thame, another beautiful place to stay overnight.  Short walk from Thame, you will reach Ghilung village, which is home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, who accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary who successfully summited the Everest.  In evening time, we will go visit monasteries and offer prayers.  North of Thame is bordered with Tibet, so people here are mostly influenced by Tibetan culture and rituals.  This place is home of the Sherpa climbers who have successfully climbed Mt. Everest as well as other mountains.  Overnight stay here includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 9:  Thame to Monjo (2835 m):
We will walk through different bends and forested slopes.  If we are lucky enough, while walking through forest, we might see different wild animals and birds like mountain goats, snow leopards, thar, pheasants, etc.  After few hours of walk, we reach Namche where we can rest and shop in local stores.  Namche is a main tourist hub where they provide internet facilities, coffee shops.  After resting for some time here, we trek further steep crossing a suspension bridge near confluence of Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi River.  We have to cross Dudh Koshi river twice in different places to reach Monjo.  By now, we are out of Sagarmatha National Park and reach Monjo village.  Overnight stay at Monjo includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 10:  Monjo to Lukla (2840 m):
Today, we will take the same route that we took to go up.  We trek through pine and rhododendron forest.  We can take our time to walk down because today is our last day of trekking.  While trekking, we can see different houses and people, mostly Buddhist influenced in culture and tradition.  Upon reaching Lukla, we can take rest for some time or if some energy left in your body, you can go for local sightseeing.  We recall all the memories the trip that we have done in the past few days and share that experience among friends.  Overnight in lodge includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 11:  Lukla to Kathmandu:
Today, we fly back to Kathmandu.  We will reach Kathmandu in the morning and rest the whole day in the hotel or you can go out for shopping for friends and relatives.  You can also go for some local sightseeing if you have leisure time.  At evening, we will have dinner together to celebrate the successfully completing our trekking.

Day 12:  Final departure:
