Mustang Trek (Upper Trek)

As a former kingdom of Lo, Mustang is in the north central part of Nepal. Since Mustang is used to be the part of Tibet, villages are specially built in Tibetan style with white washed houses, firewood tucked in roofs. Mustang is also known as “Tibet outside the Tibetan border” and thus life in Mustang mostly resembles that of Tibet and is highly influenced by China. The high desert region of the Kaligandaki, from Tibetan border and south to Kagbeni is referred as Upper Mustang Trek. We will give you an adventure that starts from world’s deepest gorge Kaligandaki, 5,571 m approximately to one of World’s highest region’s of Lo-Mangthang Valley. We will also experience steep rocky trail that goes up and down the hill and beautiful panoramic views of various Mountain Peaks like Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and other several peaks. We can pay the visit to one of the famous Hindu pilgrimage destination, Muktinath and head north to our destination.

Some of the beautiful features of Mustang trek that you will experience are city wall and four story Palace in Lo Mangtang, thousand years of the old monastery, local tribes, caves and so on. You can see the shimmering town in the distance in the barren landscape from The pass Lo La (3950 m).
