Langtang Valley Trek
Langtang Valley trekking is famous trekking in this region. This trek will give a chance to experience the beauty of nature, mountains, different animals, florals, and faunas.You will trek places like Rasuwa, Syabrubesi, Lama Hotel, Langtang Valley, Kyanjing Gompa, During this trek, you will encounter the magnificent view of different snow covered mountains, bamboo forest, and rhododendron forest. Along with that, you will also see thundering rivers and waterfalls in different places.
There are few tea houses and lodges on the way to this trek. You can take short tea/coffee break on the route and you can stay overnight in a lodge. This is not so difficult trek route, so anyone with good health can join this trek and enjoy the beauty of nature. There are monasteries, chortens, and prayer wheels/flags on the way in this trek. You can enjoy your short visit here. Upon reaching Kyanjing valley, you can further trek up to Kyanjing Ri, from where you can enjoy the view of the glaciers and mountains surrounding. From the top of the Ri, you can get a good view of Kyanjing valley. If you have spare time to spend a day or two, you can also climb up to Tsherko Ri and enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley from the top.
While trekking, you can visit local monasteries and beautiful village where you can interact with the local people there and know about the culture and lifestyle. This will be your once in the lifetime experience. You can enjoy this trip with your friends and families.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be heartily welcomed by our staffs. After completion of airport duties (visas, documents, etc.), you will proceed towards the arrival gate and look for our representatives. After that, you will be escorted to Hotel. After checking in, you can take rest for few hours and go out for sightseeing with our guide or representatives. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Trek preparation.
After finishing breakfast, we start our day with sightseeing some local historical and cultural attractions near Kathmandu including Durbar Square and temples like Pashupatinath, Buddha, and Swyambhu (monkey temple). At afternoon, we will meet our tour guide, team leader, and other members of our trip and discuss the Langtang trek where you can ask any questions regarding this trek.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Thulo Bharkhu (2140 m):
After morning breakfast, we pack our bags and drive towards the northwest of Kathmandu. Within few hours of driving and after leaving Kathmandu valley, you will be welcomed by beautiful green hills and fields, villages, and rivers. We will take a lunch break at Trisuli Bazaar and continue our journey to reach Ramche, Pahiro and then to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we will reach to Thulo Bharkhu after 30 minutes of drive. Thulo Bharkhu is a place to start trek to reach both Langtang as well as Gosainkunda. We can get a good view of mountain ranges. We will stay in a lodge here at Thulo Bharkhu. An overnight stay here includes meals; breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 04: Thulo Bharkhu to Thulo Syaphru (2260 m):
We pack our backpacks and start our trek. We walk through forests and different vegetations, we pass tea houses. We can take a break for some time to catch our breath. Today’s trail is slightly uphill but quite easy to walk, so one could easily walk without any difficulty. We will reach Brabal village where we can stop for quick refreshment and take rest. This is a Tamang village and people here were beautiful colorful clothes quite different than what we normally see. People here also sell hand-woven handbags and socks made up of woolen thread. From here, we can see Ganesh Himal. We will reach Thulo Syaphru in about 4 to 5 hours of walk. We will stay here today. We can enjoy the surrounding here. Stay in the lodge will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 05: Thulo Syaphru to Lama Hotel (2470 m):
Trek today is both uphill as well as downhill. We will walk through the forest. The trail is little narrow, so we must be careful while walking here. Enjoying the view of nature, we reach Pairo which is a meeting point from Syabrubesi and Thulo Syaphru. On the route, while walking we might see animals like monkey, deer, and different species of birds. A trail is uphill from Pairo, so it will be little difficult to trek, but walking through the forest, one might feel easy to walk with a cool breeze from the river below. We can also see wild honey on the walls of the hills in the different place. In about 3-4 hours, we reach Lama Hotel. There are few lodges to stay here. Overnight in the lodge will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 06: Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley (3430 m):
After taking our breakfast, we will continue our trek. We will walk through dense forests. After walking for few hours, we will leave tree line behind and enjoy the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung. We pass through different prayer wheels, water mills, prayer stones and multi-colored prayer flags. Today’s trail is slightly difficult than yesterday’s. Today’s trail is mostly climbing uphills and crossing rivers and suspension bridges. After walking few hours, we reach beautiful Langtang Valley. There are houses and lodges to stay in. Most of the people here are in the tourism business, but few people also rely on farming and animal husbandry, especially yak and Nak. Stay in lodge includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 07: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m):
After taking breakfast, we continue our trek further up to Kyanjin Gompa. We walk through plain fields and yak pastures. The whole valley is surrounded by different snow covered mountains. We can enjoy these mountains through the trek up to Kyanjin Gompa. During this walk, we will see different prayers wheels, chortens, and chant-inscribed stones. Due to the high altitude and thin air, one might feel little short of breath and difficult to breathe or one can suffer from high altitude sickness. So we must be careful about this while walking. After about 3 hours of walking, we now reach Kyanjin Gompa. You can walk around Kyanjin Gompa and enjoy the views of different mountains, glaciers after resting for few hours. Stay in lodge includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa rest day:
Today will be the rest day in Kyanjin Gompa. We will do a short hike up to Kyanjin Ri which is about 2 hour of a walk uphill. From here, you can get a good view of whole Kyanjin valley, different Himalayan ranges like Langtang Lirung, Langtang Himal, and Kimshung (Kinshung), and glaciers. Upon returning back to Kyanjin Gompa, we can go for a short walk in the valley. We can go to the monastery (Kyanjin Gompa) where there are different Buddhist idols and beautifully painted sculpture. There is also cheese factory and a tea/coffee shop to take a break in the bakery and do little chit chat with the local people there. You can also visit Nyingmapa school monastery. Or as an alternative, you can also visit Langshisha Kharkha which is about 6-7 hours of walk. From here we can see a trail to reach Ganja La Pass and Trail to reach Yala Peak. Stay in Kyanjin Gompa includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470 m):
After eating breakfast, we start our trek early in the morning to reach Lama Hotel. Most of the today’s trek is downhill and few uphill. So, it will be about 5 to 6 hours walk to reach Lama Hotel. We pass through dense forests and banks of the rivers. One must be careful while descending as one might trip and fall down in the rocky rugged trail. If lucky enough, we might also see different wild animals and birds on the way back. We can see very few people in between the trek. Trekking through Langtang valley, we reach Lama Hotel in about 5 to 6 hours. Stay here includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 10: Trek back to Syabrubesi (5 hours):
After finishing our breakfast, we trek back to Syabrubesi. We walk through dense forests and bank of the Langtang River. Today’s trail is also mostly downhill, so it will be easy to walk. After almost about 5 hours of walking, we finally reach to Syabrubesi and rest there and eat lunch. Stay in lodge includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu:
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. It will take about 5-6 hours of drive to reach Kathmandu. We will eat our lunch in between the drive. We will reach Kathmandu in about 6 hours of drive and go straight to the hotel. We can either rest for the whole day or go out for some sightseeing nearby and do some shopping to take back with you for your friends and families. In the evening, we will have dinner together and share our experience about the Langtang trekking.
Day 12: Final day:
Final departure: Today will be your last day here in Nepal. You can still do some last moment shopping or local sightseeing if there is any leisure time left. And approximately 3 hours before scheduled flight, our representative will drop you to the airport.
